Searching for Better Balance?

Lonestar Physical Therapy & Sports Performance Can Help!

Move With Greater Confidence

Feeling unsteady, experiencing dizziness, or worrying about falling can change how you live your life. You may begin avoiding stairs, walking less, holding onto furniture, or saying no to activities you once enjoyed.

At Lonestar Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, our Doctors of Physical Therapy take the time to understand what is affecting your balance and mobility. We create an individualized plan designed to improve stability, build strength, reduce fall risk, and help you move through life with greater confidence and independence.

Improve Your Balance

Understanding Balance Problems & Fall Risk

Good balance depends on multiple systems working together, including your strength, vision, sensation, inner ear, coordination, and your brain’s ability to process information about where your body is in space.

Changes in any of these areas can contribute to dizziness, unsteadiness, difficulty walking, or an increased risk of falling. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will evaluate the factors affecting your balance and mobility so your treatment can address your individual needs.

Common Balance & Fall Prevention Concerns

Balance & Walking Difficulties

Feeling unsteady while standing or walking can make everyday activities feel less secure. We assess your balance, strength, coordination, and walking to identify areas we can improve and help you move with greater confidence.

History of Falls

A previous fall can increase concern about falling again and may reveal underlying problems with strength, balance, mobility, or walking. A comprehensive evaluation helps identify your individual risk factors and guides a plan to improve safety and function.

Dizziness & Vestibular Disorders

Dizziness and vestibular problems can affect your balance, vision, walking, and confidence with movement. We use targeted assessment and treatment to determine what may be contributing to your symptoms and help you regain stability.

BPPV

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo can cause brief episodes of spinning with movements such as rolling in bed, looking up, or getting up from lying down. When BPPV is identified, specific repositioning techniques can often be used to address the underlying problem.
